Hero Apartments

Creative Direction / Brand Identity

This famous Art Deco building was originally the Russell Street Telephone exchange and Post Office. In 1999 the building was converted into 150 boutique apartments, designed by Melbourne architect, Nonda Katsalidis.

Inside, the foyer’s marble floors and columns echo post war Art Deco and the original Postal Hall, while outside, the striking relief sculpture of Mercury by George Allen and Stanley James Hammond, immediately inspired us when brainstorming this identity.
